AE FUNAI Clinical Programmes Indefinite Suspension – The management of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike has announced the indefinite suspension of all clinical programmes for the 2021–2022 and 2022–2023 academic sessions. This decision comes after repeated issues with students in the clinical programmes.AE FUNAI Clinical Programmes
According to a statement from the university, the suspension is due to the refusal of clinical students to pay approved hostel and other charges for the current and upcoming academic year. The statement also cited continued misconduct and violations of the university’s student code of conduct as reasons for the suspension.
The university directed all students in the affected programs for both academic years to vacate the hostels by 4PM on October 25th, 2023. Any students found in the hostels after this deadline will face disciplinary action by the university’s student disciplinary committee.
The suspension impacts students in clinical programmes at the College of Medicine. Other academic programs at Alex Ekwueme Federal University are not affected by this decision.
University officials stated that the suspension will remain in place indefinitely until the issues with the clinical students are resolved. The university has not provided details on when or if the programs will resume.
