The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) is a tertiary institution engaged in imparting knowledge and skills to students using specialized facilities and multi-disciplinary approach; a centre of excellence for serious innovative research and development in aerospace, aeronautical, aviation and allied industries/disciplines.

Admissions into NUC accredited First Degree  and NBTE accredited National Diploma (ND) programmes offered in the Institute are open to the general public. Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the following programmes for the 2020/2021 Academic Session.

  • National Diploma (ND) Programme – Aircraft Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology and Explosive Ordnance Technology:

AFIT Post-UTME Screening Requirements / Eligibility 2020/2021

AFIT  National Diploma (ND) Programme Requirements for the bellow course(s)

Aircraft Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology and Explosive Ordnance Technology:

  • Minimum of WASC/GCE/SSCE/NECO/NTC/NABTEB with at least a pass in English Language and credit passes in 5 subjects in not more than 2 sittings. The subjects must include Mathematics, Physic, Chemistry and 2 other subjects from Additional Mathematics, Biology, Geography, Statistics, Technical Drawing, Auto-Mechanics and Metal Work or
  • JAMB UTME cut-off pass mark and pass in AFIT’s post-JAMB UTME screening test and;

  AFIT National Diploma (ND) Programme for the bellow course(s)

Business Administration and Management:

  • Credit passes in an NBTE recognized Pre-ND examination in English Language, Mathematics and 3 other relevant subjects listed in Paragraph 5d(2) above.
  • Candidates should possess a Minimum of WASC/GCE/SSCE/NECO/NTC/NABTEB with 5 credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and 3 other subjects from Economic/Commerce, Business Methods, Principles of Accounts, Statistics, Geography, Agricultural Science, Government and Biology or,
  • JAMB UTME cut-off pass mark;

How to Apply for AFIT Post UTME Screening Exercise.

  • Payment via e-Bills Pay.
  • Admission Screening Bio-Data Registration.
  1. ND candidates should visit any branch of commercial banks and request for e-Bills Pay in respect of Air Force Institute of Technology ND programme
  2. Aftyer that the candidates should make payment of the sum of N3,100.00 plus the required bank charges.
  3. After payment, the bank teller will provide a printout of Session ID, which is required to proceed with online registration.
  4. candidates should visit AFIT website ( and click on the ‘AFIT ND Admission Screening’ link.
  5. Now candidates should Insert the Session ID obtained from the bank, including email, phone number, don’t forget to upload your passport
  6. If you have finish doing that, now select the programme category applicable to you (National Diploma),
  7. Click on
  8. “record inserted correctly” is the pop up message you will see or screen display message, whatever way you will see that statements, click “resume registration” to continue the application.
  9. candidates should enter their bio-information once the have completed the above successfully, SSCE/GCE/NECO results, JAMB score, etc.
  10. upload your passport photographs not more than 30KB in size. The size of such uploaded picture will be validated against this requirement. Therefore, candidates should ensure compliance.
  11. If you did that successfully then,proceed to print Photo Cards.


The Photo Cards contain candidates’ basic identity information and would be required for participation in the post- JAMB UTME screening and for confirmation of application for admission into the Institute
