Alert: Fake Facebook Account Impersonating Fed Poly Ile-Oluji Rector – The management of the Federal Polytechnic Ile-Oluji has alerted the public about a fake Facebook account purporting to be that of the institution’s rector.School News Portal
In a statement on Monday, the polytechnic authorities cautioned that the Facebook account bearing the name Ademola Iyanda Ebeloku and claiming to be the rector is an act of fraud by scammers.

According to the statement, the fake account has been created by fraudsters to deceive and extort money from unsuspecting members of the public under the guise of the rector.Fake Facebook Account
It clarified that neither the name nor photo on the account belongs to the real rector of the polytechnic. The rector does not operate a personal Facebook account with such names or authorize anyone to do so on his behalf.
The polytechnic management has therefore dissociated itself and the rector from the fake account, warning that any transactions or deals with the scammers and account owners are at risk to the public.

Members of the public have been cautioned to be vigilant about such hackers, scammers and fraudsters impersonating the rector on social media. Anyone with useful information that could lead to apprehending those behind the fake account has been urged to contact the polytechnic authorities.
