FAU Academic Calendar 2023/2024

FAU Academic Calendar – The Florida Atlantic University academic calendar provides important semester dates, deadlines, and events for students, faculty, staff, and administration. Following the calendar facilitates university operations and helps students excel. The calendar is published by the FAU Office of the Registrar each year.

Florida Atlantic University divides the academic year into three primary semesters – Fall, Spring, and Summer. The standard Fall and Spring semesters last approximately four months each, while the Summer semester offers shorter sessions. The calendar designates deadlines related to registration, tuition payments, class withdrawals, final exams, grade submissions, university breaks, and graduation.

Dates are also provided for when classes begin and end, reading days, mid-term grade deadlines, and university closures for holidays such as Labor Day, Veterans Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, and Independence Day. Students are responsible for meeting calendar deadlines to properly enroll in classes, receive financial aid, and complete semester requirements in a timely manner.
