This is a brief history of the school as culled from online sources.

The five-year teacher training course began in January 1962 with an intake of 121 post primary students. Exactly a year later, the name of the College changed from Kano Men’s Training College to Kano Teachers College. In 1965, the Nigeria Certificate in Education Programme was introduced in the College.

This is to inform you that the Screening Exercise for all admitted candidates for NCE 2020/2021 Academic Session has been scheduled to hold as follow:

Monday 26th – Wednesday 28th April, 2021 — SCHOOL OF SECONDARY EDUCATION(Arts & Social Sciences)

Thursday 29th – Friday 30th April, 2021 — SCHOOL OF SECONDARY EDUCATION(Languages)

Monday 3rd – Wednesday 5th May, 2021 — SCHOOL OF SECONDARY EDUCATION(Sciences)

Thursday 6th – Wednesday 7th May, 2021 — SCHOOL OF SECONDARY EDUCATION(Vocational)

Monday 10th May, 2021 — SCHOOL OF SECONDARY EDUCATION(Education)

Monday 17th – Friday 21st May. 2021 — Left over Candidates

TIME: 9:00am – 2:00pm Daily

VENUE: Theatre 1 New Site

NOTE:
You are to come with the following documents during the Screening Exercise. These are:

1. 2 Copies of FCE Kano Admission Notification (To be printed through College Portal).
2. Original O’Level Certificate or Online Printout result

3. JAMB Printout
