GSU Academic Calendar 2023/2024

GSU Academic Calendar – The academic calendar provides important dates and deadlines for students and faculty at Georgia State University. Following the calendar helps students stay on track to complete all requirements in a timely manner. The calendar is set by the Office of the Registrar each academic year.

There are three semesters covered in the university calendar – Fall, Spring, and Summer. The Fall and Spring semesters last approximately 4 months each, while the Summer semester is split into shorter sessions of 3 weeks to 7 weeks. Some key dates outlined include the beginning and end of classes, registration periods, midpoints, breaks, final exams, and grade submission deadlines.

The calendar also notes university holidays when classes will not meet, such as Labor Day in the Fall and Martin Luther King Jr. Day in the Spring. Other important highlights are withdrawal deadlines for students, payment due dates, and when grades will be available on each student’s transcript.
