IUB Academic Calendar 2023-2024:

Fall 2023

• March 3-April 28 – Early Enrollment/Registration. For students enrolled at IU Bloomington during the Spring 2023 semester, each student is assigned a “registration appointment” which denotes the first day and time the student can access registration online via the Student Center. Online registration remains open only through the first week of classes. This is not an appointment to speak with an academic advisor.
• April 29-August 27 – Open Registration/Schedule Adjustment. For all students. No appointment is required.
• August 21 – Classes Begin
• August 24 – Waitlist requests expire
• August 27 – 100% Refund Deadline
• August 27 – Last day to Drop a course without a Grade of Withdrawal
• August 28-October 1 – Faculty Verification of Class Attendance. Faculty verify class attendance and report student enrollment discrepancies through the Student Engagement Roster. Due the Sunday after the sixth week of the term.
• August 28 – Late Drop/Add: Late Schedule Adjustment and Grade of Withdrawal begin for all drops. See Student Central’s Late Drop/Add instructions for more information.
• August 28 – Late Initial Registration Begins in Late Drop/Add. See Registering Late for more information.
• September 3 – 75% Refund Deadline. Change fees will be assessed.
• September 4 – Labor Day – Classes do not meet
• September 10 – Fee Deadline
• September 10 – 50% Refund Deadline
• September 14-October 1 – Early Evaluation Grades
• September 17 – 25% Refund Deadline
• September 18 – Pass/Fail Option Deadline
• October 13-15 – Fall Break – No classes
• October 22 – Withdrawal with Automatic Withdrawal
• October 22 – Last day to Add a course
• October 23 – Withdrawal with grade of Withdrawal or Fail
• November 19-26 – Thanksgiving Break – No classes
• December 8 – Complete Withdrawal (All Classes) Deadline
• December 9 – Last day of classes
• December 11-15 – Final Exams
• December 11-19 – Final Grades entry deadline. Due from faculty to the Office of the Registrar by 8 p.m.
• December 20 – Transcripts Available with Official Grades

Spring 2024

• October 19-November 17 – Early Enrollment/Registration
• November 18-January 14 – Open Registration/Schedule Adjustment
• January 8 – Classes Begin
• January 10 – Fee Deadline
