K-State follows a traditional fall, spring, and summer academic calendar, beginning Fall 2023 classes on August 21st. Key dates for students include early enrollment in March 2023, fall commencement December 8-9, and final exams in May. The detailed calendar features important deadlines for current and prospective Wildcats to know regarding registration, graduation applications, and more through the Summer 2024 finals.

Fall 2023

March 20 – Fall 2023 Early Enrollment Begins
April 21 – Fall 2023 Early Enrollment Ends – Open Registration Begins
July 11 – Fall 2023 Tuition & Fee Assessment/Bills Available in KSIS
July 6 – Applications for Residency Reclassification for Tuition and Fees may begin to be submitted for the Fall 2023 Semester
August 14 – Fall 2023 Application for Graduation Open
August 18 – Fall 2023 Financial Aid Refunds Begin
August 21 – First Day of Fall 2023 Classes
August 27 – Last Day to ADD Course(s) without Instructor Permission
September 1 – Instructors May Drop Students for Non-Attendance
September 4 – Labor Day Holiday Observed: Campus Closed
September 11 – Last Day for 100% Refund (16-week classes only)
September 11 – Last Day to ADD Course(s) with Instructor Permission
September 15 – A/Pass/Fail Grading Option Request Deadline
September 18 – Census: 20th Day Deadline for making changes to program/plan for the Fall 2023 semester
September 18 – Last Day for 50% Refund (16-week classes only)
September 19 – Constitution/Citizenship Day (not a university holiday – classes in session and campus open)
September 25 – Last Day to Drop Classes – no ‘W’ grade(s) reflected on the official transcript
