Kano State Poly brings back summer examination – Kano State Polytechnic (KSP) has announced the reintroduction of summer examinations starting immediately, in an effort to ease financial burdens on students and parents.School News Portal

The decision came during the Polytechnic Academic Board (PAB) meeting held on Monday, October 9th, after the Central Students Union Government formally requested to bring back summer exams at the end of each academic year. This provides students an opportunity to improve grades and clear deficiencies at a lower cost.

“In our commitment to mitigate financial burdens and allow students to graduate on time, the PAB approved reintroducing summer examinations,” said Auwal Ismail Bagwai, Head of Public Affairs at KSP.Kano State Poly
The PAB meeting also approved transferring all academic and administrative activities from the Kura campus to the new Gwamai campus. Additionally, the board granted affiliation status to Katsina Community College of Advanced Studies to offer specialized diploma programs at KSP in Library Science, Public Administration, and Social Administration.
Other decisions during the meeting include requiring applicant screening after admission, opening all department head positions for November 2023 contests, and adjusting the academic calendar to allow the moderation exercise to take place November 1-8 instead of October 23-30.

The PAB adopted the Admissions Committee’s report on 2022/2023 enrollment numbers to conclude the productive meeting. With summer exams returning and campus transitions underway, KSP continues working to serve students and equip graduates for career success.
