Kenyon Academic Calendar 2023- 2024

Kenyon Academic Calendar – See the official Kenyon College academic calendar showing important dates, academic events, and deadlines.

Kenyon’s Fall 2023 classes begin on August 24th, and Examinations start on December 11-15th—the Spring 2024 spans from January 15th to May 3rd. Then, some notable important dates/Holidays like Martin Luther King Jr and Thanksgiving are scheduled on January 15, and November 28, 2024, respectively. Fall 2023

  • August 19, Saturday – Residences open for new students; Orientation begins
  • August 20, Sunday – Opening Convocation
  • August 22, Tuesday –  Residence Halls open for returning students
  • August 24, Thursday – Classes begin; Drop/Add period begins
  • September 1, Friday – Last day audit and Individual Study; Drop/Add period ends
  • September 7, Thursday – Last day to add music lessons and ensembles
  • September 13, Wednesday – Last day to add a course with a late fee
  • September 29 – 30 – Homecoming, Hall of Fame, Alumni Council, Reunion planning and KFEC
  • October 5-8, Thursday-Sunday – October Break
  • October 13–15, Friday-Sunday – Family Weekend; Kenyon Parents Council
  • October 20, Friday – Last day to change from/to Pass/D/Fail, Last day to withdraw (WD) from a course with a late fee
  • October 26, Thursday – Founders’ Day; Matriculation
  • October 26-27, Thursday-Friday – Fall meeting of the Board of Trustees
  • November 18, Saturday – Thanksgiving vacation begins; student residences close at noon
  • November 25, Saturday – Student residences open at 5 p.m.
  • November 27, Monday – Classes resume
  • December 4-10, Monday-Sunday – Grace Period
  • December 8, Friday – Last day of classes; WL deadline
  • December 9-10, Saturday-Sunday; December 11 day (exam evening) – Reading days
  • December 11-15, Monday-Friday – Examinations
  • December 15, Friday – Semester ends at 4:30 p.m.
  • December 16, Saturday – Student residences close at noon
  • December 27, Wednesday, Fall semester grades due before 8 a.m.

Spring 2024

  • January 13, Saturday – Student residences open at 5 p.m.
