About The School
The School, Ladoke Akintiola University (LAUTECH ) is located in Ogbomosho, Oyo State. The university enrolls 25, 00 students and employs more than 3000 workers including contract staffs.
In 1987, the then governor Adetunji Olurin of Oyo state (Now split into two state: Oyo and Osun State) receive a request form the governing council of The Polytechnic, Ibadan to establish a state university. The Committee was set up in 1988 which recommended the creation of the University. By the 13th of March 1990, the millitary government of Nigeria had accepted the request for the creation of a new universityan the edict Oyo State University of Technology was signed on April 23, 1990 by Colonel Oresanya.
