Longwood Academic Calendar 2023/2024

Longwood Academic Calendar – Longwood University, located in Farmville, Virginia, has a long history dating back to 1839 when it was founded as the Farmville Female Seminary Association. Over the years, the school evolved from a seminary to a college to a university, becoming co-educational in 1976. Today, Longwood University is comprised of five colleges and offers over 100 majors, minors and concentrations, as well as graduate programs in education and communication sciences and disorders.

The university follows a traditional academic calendar with fall and spring semesters, as well as winter intersession and summer offerings.
