NCSU Academic Calendar: Fall Session 2022-2023

The following are key dates and deadlines on the NCSU academic calendar for Fall 2022.

• NCSU’s fall 2022 move-in dates are August 18-20, 2022, and August 21, 2022, by appointment only. Appointments are available in 1-hour increments from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily from August 18-20 and from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Sunday, August 21.
• Fall classes at NCSU begin on Monday, August 22, 2022.
• The deadline for adding a course without permission is Friday, August 26, 2022.
• The Census/Official Enrollment Date is September 2, 2022.
• Labor Day in 2022 is on Friday, September 5.
• Drop/Revision deadline for 8-Week Session-First Session is Thursday, September 15, 2022.
• Fall Break 2022 will occur from Monday, October 10, to Tuesday, October 11, 2022.
• The last day of classes for the 8-Week Session-First Session is Thursday, October 13, 2022.
• The first day of classes for the 8-Week Session-Second Session is Friday, October 14, 2022.
• The deadline for adding a course is Friday, October 14, 2022. (8-week 2 classes only).
• Grades for the 8-Week Session-First Session are due on Monday, October 17, 2022, at 11:59 p.m.
• Drop/Revision On the NCSU academic calendar, the deadline for the regular session is Wednesday, October 19, 2022.
• The last day to drop a course without a W grade is Wednesday, October 19, 2022. (8-week 2 classes only).
• Drop/Revision, The deadline for the 8-week second session is Monday, November 7, 2022.
• Thanksgiving is on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, and ends on Friday, November 25, 2022.
• The final week of the semester runs from Tuesday, November 29, to Monday, December 5, 2022.

• Without permission, the last day to add a course is Thursday, May 19, 2022.
• The Census Date/Official Enrollment Date is Friday, May 20, 2022.
• Monday, May 30, 2022, is Memorial Day (NC State University Holiday; No classes).
• Juneteenth will be celebrated on Monday, June 20, 2022. (No classes).
• The deadline for drop/revision is Wednesday, June 22, 2022. It is also the final day of the 5-Week Session.
