Queensborough Community College provides students with academic calendars outlining important semester dates, deadlines, and holidays. A careful review of these calendars allows students to effectively plan their semesters. This academic calendar covers Fall 2023 through Summer 2024.

The Fall and Spring semesters are approximately 15 weeks long. They start at the end of August and January, respectively. Students need to pay close attention to add/drop deadlines at the start of these semesters to receive proper tuition refunds. Multiple college closures and breaks occur during these semesters, culminating with 1-2 designated reading/study days and a week of final examinations before the end of term.

Several shorter academic sessions take place during the Winter and Summer. The 6-week Winter intersession begins in early January. The Summer sessions last 4-7 weeks depending on subject and semester needs. For all semesters, the academic calendar notes final exam periods, ends of term, and grade submission deadlines which occur shortly after classes finish.
