TSU Academic Calendar – Tennessee State University is a historic black public land-grant university in Nashville, established in 1912. Originally called the Tennessee Agricultural & Industrial State Normal School for Negroes, it was renamed Tennessee Agricultural & Industrial State College in 1927. Tennessee State University currently offers over 60 degree programmes across eight schools and colleges and is regarded as a premier research institution.

- August 21 – Classes Begin
- August 21-25 – Late Registration/Schedule Adjustment
- September 4 – Labor Day Holiday – No classes
- September 18 – Campus Wide Assembly – First Year Students 9:00 am – Kean Hall -Recognition of Constitution Day
- October 2-6 – Mid-term Examination Week
- October 8-14 – Homecoming Week
- October 16-17 – Fall Break
- October 25 – January 12 – Registration for Spring 2024
- October 27 – Last day to withdraw from a course and/or the University
- November 10 – Veterans’ Day Observed (University is Open)
- November 22 – No Classes
- November 23-24 – Thanksgiving Holiday – University Closed
- December 1 – Last Day of Classes
- December 4-8 – Final Examinations
- December 9 – Commencement – Graduate and Undergraduate-Gentry Center
