- August 15 – Orientation for new graduate students
- August 18 – Weeks of Welcome begin
- August 21 – New Student Convocation
- August 22 – Classes begin; Add/drop and late registration begins; Progress reports due date begins for undergraduate students needing academic support
- August 29 – Progress reports due date for undergraduate students needing academic support ends
- August 30 – Deadline for dean and departmental offices to submit approved undergraduate change of major requests for fall 2023
- September 1 – Deadline for students to provide written notification of intent to observe religious holidays
- September 4 – University closed
- September 6 – Faculty Convocation
- September 8 – Last day for degree candidates to submit December graduation applications
- September 11 – September Mini Term classes begin; Last day to add/drop September Mini Term
