MDCN Notice on Housemanship Portal Opening for Posting Selection – The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) has announced the opening of its housemanship portal on Thursday, October 12th for newly graduated medical doctors seeking placements to complete their required year of supervised medical training.School News Portal

The portal will open at 10:00am for doctors with approved Provisional Registration Certificates from accredited medical schools who must enroll online at https://housemanship.mdcn.gov.ng for their preferred placement. The available housemanship openings were created by doctors who completed their training in Q3 of 2023.
Once registered, applicants will be able to select from the list of participating institutions and submit their choices. The MDCN will then match applicants to available openings based on merit and preferences. Those selected will be notified when postings are announced.MDCN Notice on Housemanship Portal

Doctors who have already secured training placements with state, military, police or private institutions are strongly advised against re-enrolling through the MDCN system, which could result in sanctions.
The MDCN centralized housemanship placement system was introduced in 2020 to improve efficiency, transparency and standardization in the allocation of supervised medical training positions required for full medical licensure in Nigeria.
