NABTEB releases In-school NBC/NTC examination results, 2023 – The National Business and Technical Education Board (NABTEB) has released the results of the 2023 in-school NBC/NTC examinations conducted between June 26 and July 25. According to a statement by Registrar/CEO Prof. Ifeoma Isiugo-Abanihe, a total of 54,301 candidates registered for the exams across 1,556 centres in Nigeria and Cote d’Ivoire.School News Portal

Out of the registered candidates, 53,587 sat for the certificate exams, representing a 98.69% turnout. Isiugo-Abanihe revealed that 39,220 candidates, making up 73.19% of examinees, obtained five credits and above including English and Mathematics. Additionally, 49,529 candidates, representing 92.43%, scored five credits and above irrespective of English and Math results.

The Registrar pointed out a worrying increase in cases of examination malpractice. 239 candidates, representing 0.45% of total examinees, were caught cheating compared to 300 candidates or 0.36% in 2022. NABTEB encouraged candidates to visit any of its state and zonal offices nationwide to obtain guidelines and application details for the forthcoming exams. Candidates can also check their results online by visiting the board’s portal at https://eworld.nabteb.gov.ng/ and entering their examination registration details.

The board further advised candidates to follow these steps to access their results via the portal:
Step 1: Visit https://eworld.nabteb.gov.ng/
Step 2: Enter Candidate ID Number e.g. 15001-001
Step 3: Select Type of Exam (Nov/Dec)
Step 4: Input 4-digit Exam Year e.g. 2023
Step 5: Enter the Card Serial Number and PIN on the photocard e.g. N123456789
Step 6: Input a 12-digit PIN on a Scratch Card e.g. 012345678912
To receive results via email, candidates should enter a valid email address after completing steps 1-5 then click ‘Send Results to Email’.
